Tri-Planer Lit Toon Shader

During college my first professional project came my way from a French Indie Developer, which, while being modest in scale, was a perfect learning opportunity. My brief was to develop a lit toon shader, optimised for mobile devices. This shader was commissioned for an mobile game and required support of both RGBA (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha) and HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) colour spaces. It also needed to include gradient controls over its lightmaps, as well as support triplanar mapping.
Unfortunately due to confidentiality I’m unable to explore the code of the final shader in this article, however I can still share the final result! As my first ever paid work in games development, I thoroughly enjoyed the process and will continue to search for other available jobs.
